About the role
Accor is seeking an experienced AV Technician to join their team in Ras Al-Khaimah. You will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment within a luxury hospitality setting. This role involves working closely with event coordinators and IT teams to ensure seamless technical delivery for guests and events.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Operate audio-visual systems during events, managing live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, performing repairs or arranging for external maintenance.
- Provide technical support to presenters, event organizers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage inventory records, maintenance schedules, and documentation of setup configurations.
- Coordinate with performers and bands during sound checks and stage setups.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably in luxury hospitality or live production.
- A Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or a related field is highly advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, and conferencing systems.
- Hands-on experience with live sound mixing, video switching, and lighting control.
- Good communication skills in English to provide clear technical support.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
