LifeBank is a technology company that powers hospitals and care centers to deliver quality healthcare to patients in emerging markets. The company has distributed over 45,000 medical products to more than 1,000 healthcare facilities, saving over 18,000 lives across Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Kenya.
As a Group Finance Associate, you will report directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of financial records, overseeing accounts receivable, managing reconciliations, and preparing timely management accounts. This role requires a hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented professional who can independently manage financial processes and ensure reliable financial information for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, tracking, and monitoring collections.
- Prepare and update accounts receivable ageing reports to highlight overdue balances and collection risks.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies between invoices, payments, and credit notes.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing issues.
- Perform regular bank, customer, supplier, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts within approved timelines.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze financial performance across business units and identify significant variances or risks.
- Provide regular reports on collections, outstanding receivables, and expected inflows to support cash flow planning.
Requirements
- Hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented approach to financial processes.
- Ability to independently manage financial processes and identify discrepancies.
- Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling is an added advantage.
