Schlumberger Limited is seeking a Geosolutions Geophysicist to join their team in Port Harcourt. In this position, you will apply your expertise in geophysical acquisition, processing, and interpretation to optimize reservoir performance.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on processing parameters and maintain consistent communication.
- Process seismic data using appropriate technologies and software.
- Ensure timely delivery of processed data to clients.
- Define, build, and submit test jobs, then interpret results to recommend further testing.
- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of testing and production job sequences.
- Stay updated on developments in seismic data processing and data transfer techniques.
- Investigate and report on issues arising during seismic data processing.
- Assist the Project Leader with daily management, velocity picking, and quality control.
- Forecast resource needs and report on project status.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Upper) in Geoscience, Geophysics, or a related field.
- Recent graduate with 0-2 years of post-graduation experience as a Geophysicist or in a related field.
- Basic understanding of signal processing, pre-processing, velocity model building, and depth imaging.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- Must have completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
