About the role
Homeland Integrated Offshore Services Limited is an indigenous multidisciplinary organization providing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation services in the oil and gas sector. We are seeking a Geoscientist III to join our team in Nigeria on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely geological support during drilling, workover, and production activities.
- Maintain alignment between geological models, well information, and observed reservoir performance.
- Integrate multidisciplinary datasets into robust geological interpretations and models.
- Manage geological uncertainty and its impact on well, production, and development decisions.
- Predict reservoir distribution, quality, and connectivity away from well control.
- Resolve geological issues affecting field development and production.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Exploration, Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineering, and Operations.
- Engage with external partners, regulatory agencies, and service companies.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc in Geology or a related geoscience discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in an operating exploration and production environment.
- Advanced working knowledge of Petrel or equivalent geological interpretation and modelling software.
- Demonstrated competence in production/reservoir geology, geological modelling, and reservoir characterization.
- Practical experience in development/appraisal well planning and operational geological support.
- Strong multidisciplinary integration, analytical, technical-writing, and presentation skills.
- A higher degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
