About the role
Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a General Manager to join the team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja in Lagos. This is a full-time position where you will lead the hotel’s daily operations and represent the brand by delivering memorable experiences to guests and staff.
As a General Manager, you will act as the orchestrator of exceptional experiences, balancing strategic focus on guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and commercial results. You will report to the District Director Nigeria and/or the Managing Director Sub Sahara Africa.
Responsibilities
- Manage the hotel’s Profit & Loss (P&L) and oversee daily operations.
- Plan and supervise the activities of the workforce to ensure smooth and profitable business running.
- Lead the team as a professional business leader, fostering a well-functioning environment.
- Operate the hotel in line with brand standards while exceeding guest expectations.
- Communicate and execute company strategies effectively.
- Act as a key liaison between the central team and the owners.
- Work with Heads of Department to maximize business opportunities and ensure adherence to legislation and budget management.
Requirements
- Experience in hotel management or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a passion for hospitality.
- A positive, flexible attitude with an eye for detail.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Fluency in English.
- MICE and sales experience within the Nigerian market.
- Experience in a resort setting is a plus.
