About the role
Marriott International is seeking a General Cashier / Paymaster to join the team at Four Points by Sheraton in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom. This position is open to Nigerian nationals only. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash and bank accounts, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Verify figures, postings, and documents for mathematical accuracy and proper coding.
- Organize and secure all files, records, and cash equivalents according to company policies.
- Record, store, and analyze computerized financial information.
- Classify and summarize numerical data to maintain financial records using journals and ledgers.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
- Audit cashier banks periodically and maintain petty cash records.
- Act as a liaison between the property and banking institutions.
- Participate in internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
- Nigerian nationality is required for this position.
