About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform serving over 600,000 businesses. They are looking for a Fraud Investigation Officer to help protect the organization and its customers by investigating fraud, identifying trends, and supporting fund recovery. This is a remote position based in Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Investigate fraud cases and determine outcomes based on evidence.
- Analyze transaction patterns to spot fraud trends and emerging risks.
- Document findings and maintain accurate case records.
- Support fund recovery by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases in a timely manner.
- Recommend process and control improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Compliance, and Customer Support teams.
- Ensure investigations are completed within agreed service levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 2–4 years of experience in fraud investigations, banking, fintech, or a related risk function.
- Knowledge of digital payment fraud, transaction analysis, and fraud investigation techniques is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple investigations effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
