About the role
Direkci Group is looking for a Foreign Trade Specialist to join their team in Abuja. This full-time position focuses on supporting the company’s international trade activities. You will help drive business growth and profitability by managing sourcing, purchasing, and trade transactions for agricultural commodities and processed products.
Responsibilities
- Identify international buyers and markets for the company’s commodities and products.
- Source agricultural commodities, raw materials, and equipment from local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery conditions with partners.
- Manage import and export transactions from order placement to final delivery.
- Ensure compliance with import/export laws, customs procedures, and trade regulations.
- Prepare and maintain trade documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Monitor commodity prices, exchange rates, and market trends to identify profitable opportunities.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and banks.
- Prepare reports on trade transactions, shipment status, and costs.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in foreign trade, import/export, commodity trading, or international procurement.
- B.Sc. or HND in International Trade, International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
