About the role
Max Drive is a technology-enabled company focused on solving mobility challenges in Africa by making transportation safe, affordable, and accessible. We are looking for a Fleet Operations Lead to manage the setup, maintenance, refurbishment, and security of our fleet in the Lokoja, Kogi jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activation records and ensure inactive vehicles do not exceed 2% of the total fleet.
- Vehicle Setup: Oversee the activation of ready vehicles, manage new vehicle procurement within budget, and upload accurate data to VAMS.
- Maintenance: Coordinate with service workshops, track warranty issues with OEMs, and ensure insurance claims are resolved promptly.
- Refurbishment: Ensure churned vehicles are assessed and re-certified according to standard operating procedures.
- Security: Monitor live vehicle locations on the IoT platform and escalate security issues to management.
- Administration: Create team budgets, manage spare parts inventory, and drive strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of cognate experience as a Fleet Officer.
- Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in an Engineering or Business discipline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Good understanding of fleet management, inventory control, and critical thinking.
