About the role
Max Drive is a technology-enabled company focused on solving mobility challenges in Africa. We are looking for a Fleet Officer to join our team in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, refurbishment, quality assurance, and security of our fleet. You will ensure that all assets receive routine maintenance and that refurbishment projects are completed within approved time and cost limits while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test vehicles before and after maintenance to verify repairs and assess repair levels.
- Monitor the repair process to ensure spare parts are used efficiently.
- Collaborate with the vehicle maintenance manager to improve checklists and maintenance routines.
- Visit authorized service workshops to confirm that work meets MAX standards.
- Inspect spare parts for refurbishment and support vehicle assessments using pre-assessment checklists.
- Guide technicians on maintenance best practices and conduct post-refurbishment inspections.
- Conduct frequent training for technicians and ensure job cards are completed for all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of an OND in any Engineering discipline; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Two years of cognate experience as a vehicle technician or in fleet management.
- Strong understanding of fleet management and inventory control principles.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Critical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
