About the role
Genesis Group is a leading hospitality provider with over 30 years of experience in catering, hotels, restaurants, and cinemas. With more than 10,000 employees across 30 locations in Nigeria and beyond, the company is looking for a Fleet Manager to lead its vehicle operations. This full-time position is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, and support staff.
- Monitor and control fleet expenses, including fuel, parts, labor, insurance, and total cost of ownership.
- Plan efficient routes, manage dispatch operations, and maximize vehicle utilization.
- Enforce safety programs and ensure compliance with local and federal transport regulations.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate urgent repairs, and manage vendor relationships.
- Oversee the full vehicle lifecycle, from purchasing and leasing to registration and disposal.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transportation management.
- Proficiency in Fleet Management Software (FMS), GPS telematics, and fuel-tracking systems.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability under pressure, and clear communication.
