About the role
Talent Recruitment 360 is hiring a Fire & Gas / Technical Safety Engineer to support offshore platform projects in Lagos. This is a contract position focused on technical safety engineering, specifically for the Oil & Gas sector.
Responsibilities
- Review Fire & Gas system architecture, cause-and-effect charts, and alarm logic.
- Conduct or review detector coverage studies for flammable, toxic, and smoke detection.
- Coordinate with instrumentation, process, and HSE disciplines.
- Support quantitative risk assessments and safety system performance evaluations.
- Develop Fire & Gas detection philosophies and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, API, NFPA, and ISO standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in technical safety, process safety, or Fire & Gas engineering in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Knowledge of detector coverage studies, cause-and-effect logic, and hazard assessment.
- Familiarity with applicable IEC, API, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
- Experience in offshore platform design, engineering reviews, and commissioning is an advantage.
