About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is a Human Resource Solution Provider based in Lagos, established in 2013. They are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Operations Officer to join their team in Ikeja. This full-time position focuses on supporting daily financial operations, ensuring efficient process execution, and maintaining accurate records within the microfinance banking and fintech services industry.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily operational activities to maintain efficiency.
- Process and verify financial transactions and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational databases.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Support account reconciliation and transaction monitoring.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth workflows.
- Monitor service delivery and handle customer requests promptly.
- Prepare regular operational reports for management.
- Support risk management and internal control procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in financial operations, preferably in microfinance, fintech, or commercial banking.
- Good understanding of financial transactions, reconciliation, and operational procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
