About the role
Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited is one of Nigeria’s largest beverage manufacturers, producing brands like Pepsi, 7Up, and Aquafina. We are seeking a Finance Lead – Operations to join our team in Ilorin, Kwara. This full-time position focuses on ensuring accurate and timely accounting records in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Responsibilities
- Support the OFM with the financial closure process, periodic reporting, and critical analysis.
- Liaise with Head Office and other regions regarding pending balances in the current account.
- Participate in month-end stock count activities.
- Coordinate the monthly financial closure to ensure proper booking of accruals and provisions.
- Review supporting documents for vendor payments, including invoices and waybills.
- Approve journal entries on the ERP system, ensuring correct Cost Center and General Ledger assignments.
- Collaborate with other functions to optimize operational costs and enhance the control environment.
- Provide initial reviews for bank reconciliations and support external auditors during statutory audits.
Requirements
- BSc/HND degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of post-qualification experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Professional qualification in Accounting and Finance (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Navision, Microsoft GP, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence applications like Power BI is advantageous.
