About the role
Atlas Copco Nigeria, established in 2009 with offices in Lagos and Port Harcourt, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its Customer Center team. As an OEM in the alternative energy space, the company designs, supplies, installs, services, and maintains Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling systems. You will be part of a dynamic field service team, spending significant time traveling to visit customers within your designated area to ensure the performance and longevity of their technology.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Operations Manager.
- Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair technical systems.
- Diagnose issues to prevent equipment downtime.
- Perform installations and ensure safety compliance.
- Document all service activities.
- Act as the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
Requirements
- University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience with CTS-related products, including overhaul and repair of compressors, air dryers, generators, and lighting towers.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and Elektronikon modules.
- Competent, self-driven, and results-oriented with a focus on high quality and business profit.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Keenness for new experiences and responsibility.
