About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform that supports over 600,000 businesses. We are looking for a Field Sales Agent to join our team in Abuja. In this full-time, field-based position, you will focus on driving merchant acquisition for Moniebook, our business management software. You will build strong commercial relationships and expand our market presence by helping local businesses manage sales, stock, accounting, and payments from one place.
Responsibilities
- Visit and actively canvass businesses daily within your assigned territory.
- Qualify leads using our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) before pitching.
- Conduct live product demonstrations and highlight operational inefficiencies to business owners.
- Close deals, secure paid subscriptions, and collect payments.
- Hand customers over to the onboarding team for setup and implementation.
- Maintain a robust lead bank by logging every lead and field visit daily in the CRM.
- Consistently meet or exceed the monthly target of 10 new subscriptions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven direct sales or field sales experience in sectors such as SaaS, FMCG, fintech, or telecoms.
- Demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding sales and acquisition targets.
- Resident in or willing to actively cover and travel across the designated coverage area.
- Confident, persuasive, and articulate communicator with strong objection-handling skills.
- High commercial acumen and the ability to push deals to a successful close.
- Self-driven and disciplined, capable of managing routes and time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Tech-savvy and proficient with smartphones, mobile applications, and CRM software.
