About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform serving over 600,000 businesses. We are looking for a Field Credit Officer to join our team in the South East region. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding and managing businesses that access our credit products. You will play a key part in assessing businesses during credit applications and monitoring their performance using our innovative tools. Your goal is to grow the loan portfolio while maintaining profitability and ensuring timely repayments.
Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard viable businesses in your assigned area to open Moniepoint business accounts.
- Engage customers to ensure optimal account usage, helping them qualify for credit access.
- Review and approve or decline loan requests by analyzing available data.
- Conduct physical visits to potential borrowers’ business locations to evaluate books, inventory, and turnover.
- Meet gross loan portfolio and profit targets by maintaining a healthy number of performing loan customers.
- Monitor active loan portfolios to ensure continued account usage and repayment performance.
- Perform other credit-related functions as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales role for credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis.
- Good knowledge of financial analysis is an added advantage.
- Must be resident in one of the following locations (please indicate your preferred location on your CV):
- Abia: Aba, Osisioma, Ohafia, Ukwa, Abia North, Abia Central
- Anambra: Anambra Central 1, Anambra South, Anambra Central 2, Anambra North
- Ebonyi: Ebonyi North, Ebonyi South
- Enugu: Enugu East, Enugu West, Enugu North
- Imo: Imo East, Imo West, Imo North
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
