About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform serving over 600,000 businesses. As a Field Credit Officer, you will be responsible for onboarding and managing businesses that access our credit products. You will play a key role in assessing credit applications and monitoring loan performance to ensure profitability and timely repayment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard viable businesses in your assigned area to open Moniepoint business accounts.
- Engage customers to encourage optimal account usage for credit eligibility.
- Review and approve or decline loan requests based on thorough data analysis.
- Conduct physical visits to potential borrowers to evaluate business books, inventory, and turnover.
- Meet gross loan portfolio and profit targets while maintaining a healthy loan portfolio.
- Monitor active loans to ensure continued account usage and repayment performance.
- Perform other credit-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND in any Business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales role for credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis.
- Good knowledge of financial analysis is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
