About the role
Vixa Healthcare is looking for a Factory Manager to provide strategic leadership and management for its factory operations. You will oversee production, quality, engineering, warehouse, and safety functions. The goal is to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective manufacturing of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products in line with cGMP, NAFDAC, PCN, and SON standards.
Responsibilities
- Own the factory P&L and execute the annual business and production plans.
- Control operating costs, including labor, utilities, and consumables.
- Oversee supply chain, inventory control, and finished goods warehousing.
- Ensure full cGMP compliance and readiness for regulatory audits.
- Manage preventive maintenance and approve capital expenditure for equipment.
- Lead and develop factory heads while enforcing strict health and safety standards.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve capacity utilization.
Requirements
- B.Pharm, M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Technology, or B.Eng in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Chemistry.
- 6 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years as a Production or Factory Manager.
- Proven experience managing a multi-product plant (tablets, liquids, creams, cosmetics).
- Must be a registered Pharmacist or have strong regulatory knowledge with NAFDAC audit experience.
- Experience with ERP/SAP, cGMP, ISO 9001, and Lean principles.
- MBA is an added advantage.
