About the role
Elite Talent Placements is seeking a Factory Manager to lead a packaged-water operation in Benin, Edo. You will report to the Group General Manager and focus on running a safe, compliant, and cost-efficient facility. The role aims to deliver consistent quality, protect regulatory standing, and support sales and margin growth.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily production to meet sales demand while monitoring output and downtime.
- Enforce water quality standards, including treatment, disinfection, and lab testing schedules.
- Maintain NAFDAC registration and ensure compliance with GMP and hygiene standards.
- Oversee the maintenance of treatment plants, filling lines, and utilities to minimize breakdowns.
- Control inventory of packaging, chemicals, and spares within approved procurement limits.
- Track costs, energy usage, and wastage to recommend corrective actions for margin improvement.
- Coordinate dispatch and delivery with sales teams to ensure stock accountability.
- Manage health, safety, and environmental standards, including waste management.
- Supervise production, quality-control, and maintenance staff according to HR policies.
- Submit weekly reports on production, quality, costs, and compliance.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related Engineering field.
- 5–7 years of experience in packaged water, beverage, or FMCG production.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Knowledge of water treatment, NAFDAC regulations, and GMP standards.
- Strong skills in cost control, planning, and maintenance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
