About the role
DKT International Nigeria is a social marketing organization dedicated to providing safe and affordable options for family planning and HIV prevention. They are seeking a Facility Manager to ensure the efficient management, maintenance, safety, and security of their office facilities in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on creating a safe, functional, and cost-effective working environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine facility inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for buildings, equipment, and utilities.
- Supervise facility service providers, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
- Monitor the performance and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, generators, and elevators.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service contracts, and regulatory certifications.
- Develop emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
- Coordinate security, cleaning, waste management, pest control, and landscaping services.
- Prepare and monitor facility budgets and procurement of supplies.
- Manage office space allocation, renovations, and workplace improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Estate Management, Facilities Management, Building Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related role.
- Experience managing contractors, facility operations, and maintenance budgets.
- Relevant professional certification in Facilities Management or Health & Safety is an added advantage.
- Strong planning, organizational, and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
