Reliable Steel and Plastic Industries Limited is seeking a skilled Blow Moulding Technician to join our team in Onitsha, Anambra. As a trusted manufacturer since 1998, we are committed to producing high-quality plastic products using only the best materials. This full-time position requires a professional who can operate, set up, and troubleshoot blow moulding machines to maintain our high standards of service and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines and adjust operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Operate and monitor blow moulding machines to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Install, align, and maintain moulds and related machine components.
- Monitor the production process to ensure finished products meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine faults, production irregularities, and product defects.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Quality Control teams to resolve technical issues.
- Perform routine cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Monitor raw material consumption to minimize waste and production losses.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Blow Moulding Technician in a plastic manufacturing company.
- Practical experience operating hydraulic blow moulding or blow extrusion machines.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of machine setup, temperature and pressure adjustments, and process control.
- Ability to identify and correct common machine faults and production defects.
- Good communication skills, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts when required.
- A technical certificate, OND, or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is an advantage.
