About the role
Opay is a mobile money platform licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, serving over 500,000 merchants across all 36 states. We are looking for an Events Manager to join our Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) team in Lagos. This role focuses on delivering events that meet both brand and business objectives, while also supporting broader marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver OPay’s external and business-led events from concept to post-event reporting.
- Manage OPay’s presence at industry events, including booths, branding, and speaking slots.
- Link every event to clear brand and business goals, and track return on investment.
- Support integrated campaigns, on-ground activations, and brand partnerships.
- Prepare budgets, source vendors, and maintain clear records of all spend.
- Report on event results, spend against budget, and brand visibility.
Requirements
- 4–6 years in marketing, with at least 3 years focused on events, agency, or in-house roles.
- Experience delivering corporate or brand events for 300+ guests.
- Proven ability to manage a brand’s presence at industry events, conferences, or expos.
- Broad marketing experience in campaigns, activations, or brand projects.
- Comfortable working within formal approval and procurement processes.
- Willingness to travel and work some evenings and weekends.
