About the scholarship
The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) at ETH Zurich supports high-achieving students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree. The programme provides financial support, mentorship, and access to the ETH Foundation network. The scholarship is awarded for the regular duration of the Master’s programme, which is typically three or four semesters.

Who can apply
This scholarship is open to both national and international students. Applicants must have excellent results in their Bachelor’s degree, specifically being in the top 10% of their programme (equivalent to a grade A). You must also be reachable by phone, as the selection process may include an interview.
How to apply
Applications open on 1 November 2026. To be considered, you must first apply for a Master’s degree programme at ETH Zurich online via eApply. In addition to standard admission documents, you must upload a pre-proposal for your master thesis.
