About the scholarship
EPFL offers a limited number of Excellence Fellowships to students with outstanding academic records. These awards are available for both Bachelor’s and Master’s studies. Some fellowships are financed directly by EPFL, while others are supported through partnerships with foundations or companies.
What it covers
- Financial support: CHF 10,000 per semester.
- Housing: A reservation of a student room in a student residence.
- Duration: For Bachelor’s studies, the fellowship is spread over three years. For Master’s studies, it is paid for four semesters. Renewal for Master’s students requires obtaining at least 50 ECTS credits and maintaining an overall average of 5.0/6.
Who can apply
This scholarship is open to all students, including international applicants. Candidates must have achieved remarkable results throughout their pre-university curriculum, including both school and extracurricular activities. Selection is based on academic merit.
How to apply
Applications are submitted through EPFL’s online application system. For the Bachelor Excellence Fellowship, final-year high school students must check the corresponding box on their application form before 30 April and provide the requested documents. For the Master Excellence Fellowship, candidates must apply via the online form for their chosen Master’s programme by 15 December or 31 March.
