About the role
ABNL Limited is a 100% indigenous Oil and Gas servicing company based in Nigeria. We are looking for an Engineering – Rig Supervisor III to join our team at the Oso Platform in Akwa Ibom. This is a contract position where you will represent the company on the rig site. Your main goal is to support the safe and efficient execution of well plans while acting as the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel.
Responsibilities
- Communicate expectations regarding safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE) on the rig site.
- Provide guidance and support in managing SSHE events.
- Support onsite surveillance for kick detection, abnormal pressure, torque & drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
- Order and organize logistics for services and equipment needed for drilling and completion operations.
- Generate accurate and adequate operations reports.
- Monitor rig operations to ensure well control procedures are followed and emergency situations are managed appropriately.
- Ensure safety, operational, environmental, and security drills are conducted at specified frequencies.
- Ensure drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved, utilizing management of change processes if necessary.
- Interface with engineering and geology teams to understand well objectives and procedural requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles for drilling and completion operations.
- Hold current certification for Well Control.
- Experience working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor.
