About the role
ABNL Limited is a 100% indigenous Oil and Gas servicing company established in 1992. We are looking for an Engineering – Facilities Lead I to join our team in QIT, Akwa Ibom. This is a contract position focused on ensuring engineering work meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and comment on engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Drive capital efficiency in engineering design and manage technical queries from contractors.
- Review discipline design drawings and documents to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
- Identify and assess deviations from technical specifications, maintaining the Deviation Control Log.
- Coordinate communication between company and contractor engineering teams regarding design, safety, and compliance.
- Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Mechanical Engineering or a related specialty.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills for technical and business communication.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
