About the role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is seeking an Engineering – Drilling Rig Site OI Advisor II to join their team in Port Harcourt, Rivers. This position focuses on supporting drilling operations by addressing Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) concerns. You will serve as the primary contact for SSHE issues related to rig-based drilling activities, helping to execute initiatives and respond to requests from the drill team.
Responsibilities
- Observe Safety and Health drills at the site and participate in de-briefing meetings to ensure adherence to company requirements.
- Facilitate regular Safety and Health inspections, assessments, and audits on-site in accordance with established company standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health preferred, or previous experience in a closely related position.
- Relevant industry experience in offshore or onshore drilling activities.
- Fit for duty in remote offshore/onshore drilling environments, including physical demands like climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Exceptional skills in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work in harsh environments with changing priorities and willingness to travel or live away from home for extended periods.
- Strong organizational, technical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking, particularly for technical and business communications.
- Advanced knowledge of drilling operations, processes, and safety rules and regulations.
