About the role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is seeking a Completions Engineer III to join their team in Lagos. In this position, you will represent the company on rig sites, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of well plans. You will serve as the primary point of contact for rig and third-party personnel, managing logistics for staff, equipment, and services.
Responsibilities
- Communicate expectations regarding safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE) and provide guidance on managing related events.
- Monitor rig operations to ensure well control procedures are followed and emergency situations are managed appropriately.
- Ensure that safety, operational, environmental, and security drills are conducted at specified frequencies.
- Verify that drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved, utilizing management of change processes when necessary.
- Order and organize logistics for services and equipment required for efficient drilling and completion operations.
- Support onsite surveillance for kick detection, abnormal pressure, torque & drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
- Generate accurate and adequate operations reports.
- Interface with engineering and geology teams to ensure a clear understanding of well objectives and procedural requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in drilling, rig operations, workover, or well-servicing activities, including supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating rig personnel, contractors, equipment, and operational activities.
- Relevant well-control certification appropriate to the assigned duties.
- Valid offshore survival, medical fitness, and other site-specific certifications where applicable.
- Experience with drilling programs, operational reporting, risk assessment, and HSE management systems.
