We are looking for a dedicated Engineer to join our team in Maitama, Abuja, to help us build a trusted reputation in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Project Supervision: Monitor contractors and construction workers to ensure projects follow approved drawings and specifications. Report progress and challenges to management while ensuring timely completion.
- Infrastructure Development: Identify requirements for new estates, supervise the construction of roads and drainage systems, and oversee the provision of water, electricity, and other essential services.
- Technical Assessment: Assess structural integrity, review building plans, and ensure compliance with applicable building standards. Collaborate with architects and surveyors during planning.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), estimate project costs, monitor material usage to prevent wastage, and verify contractor payment claims.
- Quality Control: Inspect ongoing and completed projects to ensure materials meet quality standards and contractors comply with specifications. Identify and report substandard work.
- Maintenance: Ensure company-owned buildings and facilities remain in good condition by identifying maintenance needs and supervising repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain records of site inspections, material usage, and project costs. Prepare weekly and monthly engineering reports for management.
- Health and Safety: Identify potential hazards, ensure safety procedures are followed, and report any accidents or unsafe practices on site.
