About the role
Ignite Energy Access is a renewable energy company dedicated to providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable solar energy solutions. We aim to bridge the energy access gap for underserved and off-grid communities by offering innovative solar products, flexible payment options, and customer-focused services. We are currently recruiting an Energy Officer to help drive the adoption of clean energy in Mokwa and its surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new customers through door-to-door marketing, community engagement, and other sales activities.
- Follow up with prospective customers to convert leads into successful sales.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, community leaders, and local business owners.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers on the benefits of solar energy solutions.
- Prepare daily and weekly sales reports and provide market intelligence.
- Provide basic customer support and escalate technical complaints where necessary.
- Monitor customer payments and support timely repayment collections.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and business growth objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND / NCE qualification; HND or Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Basic smartphone and reporting skills.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, achieve targets, and be willing to travel across Mokwa and neighbouring communities.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, field operations, customer acquisition, or financial services is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Mokwa and its surrounding communities is an added advantage.
