About the role
TeamAce Limited is seeking an Email Forensics Specialist to join a reputable IT Infrastructure organization. This is a contract position based in Magodo, Lagos. You will play a key role in investigating email-related security incidents, analyzing digital evidence, and identifying cyber threats to strengthen organizational cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic investigations of email communications, including phishing, spoofing, and business email compromise (BEC).
- Analyze email headers, metadata, attachments, and server logs to trace suspicious activities.
- Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence while maintaining proper chain-of-custody procedures.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed forensic reports and provide technical recommendations for incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Incident Response, or Email Security Investigations.
- Strong knowledge of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3), email header analysis, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace security.
- Proficiency in digital forensic and email investigation tools such as FTK, EnCase, Autopsy, Wireshark, or Microsoft Purview.
- Relevant certifications such as CHFI, GCFA, GCFE, CEH, or equivalent are an added advantage.
