We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Ewekoro, Ogun.

Responsibilities

  • Identify engine components such as injection pumps, cylinders, and emergency stop levers.
  • Maintain machines and auxiliary equipment in good working condition.
  • Start and stop lubricating oil and HFO separators, and monitor alarm readings.
  • Execute corrective actions and take readings of pressure and temperature indicators.
  • Use electrical measurement equipment, including multimeters, frequency meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Identify and repair electric panels, substituting components like contacts, transformers, and fuses.
  • Ensure safe and economical plant operations while complying with safety regulations, including lock out and tag out procedures.
  • Account for all parts, materials, and supplies used during work.
  • Maintain the plant in a clean and safe condition at all times.
  • Perform emergency procedures to protect personnel and equipment in case of failure.
  • Read and create graphs of equipment abnormalities and tendencies.
  • Identify equipment in MV and HV rooms, as well as KV Substations.
  • Identify control panel computers, alarms, and trips for engine systems and auxiliary equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify engine components and auxiliary equipment.
  • Experience with electrical measurement tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical panel repair and component substitution.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, including isolation and lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical graphs and indicators.
  • Capability to identify equipment in MV/HV rooms and control panels.
