About the role
EIDU Nigeria is seeking an Education Officer to support the rollout of its digital learning programs in Ondo. This temporary position focuses on enhancing education in public and private schools by collaborating with local, state, and federal government bodies. You will play a key part in driving results during the program pilot and maintaining strong relationships with government officials.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate teacher training, onboarding, and continuous support to ensure successful program implementation.
- Provide training and support to schools and government officers on using the EIDU Field App and dashboards for planning and reporting.
- Act as a liaison between EIDU and state-level activities, representing the organization when necessary.
- Build productive relationships with state government education officers to advocate for impactful teacher training.
- Conduct school visits to observe implementation, provide feedback, and support teachers.
- Compile and present reports on program progress to government officials and executive leaders.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics, and child protection during all interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
- 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in training and 2 years in team management.
- ICT skills in Word, Excel, issue management systems (e.g., CRM), and Android Smartphones.
- Excellent understanding of adult learning and training delivery.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as local languages.
- Fluency in English and Hausa.
- Proven experience in community leadership and implementing education programs.
