About the scholarship
The Echidna Global Scholars Program at the Center for Universal Education (CUE) at Brookings supports local leaders in the Global South who are working to advance gender-transformative education. This six-month fellowship allows scholars to conduct individual research focused on improving learning opportunities and life outcomes for girls, young women, and gender-nonconforming people. Participants also develop leadership skills, build knowledge on global education issues, and expand their pathways for impact. Upon completion, scholars join the Echidna Alumni Network to continue their influence on education policy.
