About the role
Scruples Resource Limited is a premier oil and gas support services provider based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking a Drilling Engineer / Specialist III to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves providing high-level technical expertise to support safe and efficient drilling operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical drilling engineering expertise to Operations and Development teams.
- Ensure well objectives are met while maintaining the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection.
- Deliver engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up for drilling and completion programs.
- Continuously improve regional well construction performance.
- Develop functional specifications and scopes of work for equipment and services.
- Prepare Drilling Basis of Design documentation, including Casing Design, Torque/Drag, and Hydraulics.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with well design software and Microsoft applications.
- Proven experience with well planning and execution.
- Experience with international assignments.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Ability to effectively organize and communicate thoughts.
