About the role
Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join its Engineering and Maintenance department. You will report to the Engineering Supervisor or Design Engineer. This role involves creating and updating technical drawings to support plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects across Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Convert sketches, field measurements, and engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Visit work sites to verify dimensions and existing installations.
- Prepare and update as-built drawings after project completion or equipment changes.
- Maintain drawing and document control systems in line with company procedures.
- Provide drafting support for mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and instrumentation teams.
- Develop fabrication drawings, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications.
Requirements
- National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; OR Trade Test Grade I, II, or III in Technical Drawing or related trades.
- Minimum of three years of industrial experience in engineering drafting or technical drawing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering concepts.
- Certifications in AutoCAD, Autodesk, or Document Control are an added advantage.
