About the role
Alan & Grant is seeking a Distribution Partner Specialist to join a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. Based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, this full-time position focuses on representing the company’s interests with assigned distributors and wholesalers. You will be responsible for developing annual business plans, driving growth initiatives, and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to increase distribution, execution, and sales volume.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regular meetings with distribution partners to communicate strategy, review KPIs, and discuss regional opportunities.
- Assign sales, distribution, and execution targets to partners and follow up on progress.
- Provide execution, on-the-job training, and coaching to distribution partner and field teams.
- Develop annual business plans with partners, covering organization requirements, distribution, volume, and investments.
- Manage assigned budgets, including incentive, trade, and point-of-sale (POS) budgets.
- Maintain strong knowledge of company systems and use reports to identify opportunities and competitor intelligence.
- Ensure partners submit accurate and timely data into company systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- At least 3 years of outstanding sales experience in the Consumer Goods industry (Beverage sector preferred).
- Experience with distributor and supplier management is an advantage.
- Multi-channel exposure, including General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, and On-Premise.
- Proven track record in team management and leadership.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate distribution partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage time and resources effectively.
