About the role
Alan & Grant is seeking a Distribution Partner Specialist to represent and manage the business for a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company. Based in Abuja, you will be responsible for developing annual business plans with assigned distributors and wholesalers. Your goal is to drive growth, execute strategic initiatives, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to increase distribution, execution, and sales volume.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regular meetings with distribution partners to communicate strategy, review KPIs, and discuss regional opportunities.
- Assign sales, distribution, and execution targets to partners and follow up on progress.
- Provide execution and on-the-job training to partner and field teams.
- Develop bottom-up annual business plans covering organization, distribution, volume, and investments.
- Manage assigned budgets, including incentive, trade, and point-of-sale (POS) budgets.
- Utilize company systems and reports to maximize opportunities and monitor competitor intelligence.
- Ensure partners submit accurate and timely data into company systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- At least 3 years of outstanding sales experience in the Consumer Goods industry (Beverage sector preferred).
- Experience in distributor and supplier management is an advantage.
- Multi-channel exposure including General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, and On-Premise.
- Proven track record in team management and leadership.
- Ability to work independently with strong planning, time, and resource management skills.
