About the role
Santus Consulting is an indigenous Human Resources Consulting brand seeking its first Director of Talent and Organization. This is a strategic leadership position based in the CBD, Abuja. You will establish and lead the Group Talent and Organisation Department, overseeing executive recruitment, organisation design, workforce planning, performance management, and people analytics across the holding company and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Lead all recruitment activities across the Group, including personally managing senior-level appointments for Directors, board members, and subsidiary CEOs.
- Define job roles, responsibilities, reporting structures, and salary bands to establish the Talent and Organisation Department.
- Establish performance measurement standards and oversee the Group’s compensation and reward framework.
- Work with Legal and Governance on employment contracts, disciplinary matters, and HR governance to ensure decisions are transparent and auditable.
- Drive leadership development, establish succession planning frameworks, and develop talent pipelines for critical positions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in structured candidate assessment, reference checking, and executive search.
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and maintain recruitment standards under pressure.
- Personally completed at least 10 senior-level appointments at Director level or above within the last five years.
- Evidence that most of those appointments remained in their positions and performed satisfactorily after 12 months.
- Capability to define roles and compensation before recruitment begins and to maintain accurate records retrievable within one working hour.
