About the role
New Hall International School is a private co-educational day and boarding school located in Chevy View Estate, Lekki, Lagos. Founded in 2008, the school offers education from early childhood through college preparation, blending national, British, and American standards. We are seeking a Diction and Handwriting Teacher who values clear and beautiful communication in both spoken and written forms.
Responsibilities
- Teach phonetics and elocution with a patient and encouraging approach to build student confidence.
- Help students improve their speech projection and clarity, particularly during assemblies.
- Provide handwriting instruction using the Nelson method, with a focus on fine motor development.
- Diagnose and address handwriting issues for students, such as those in Year 5.
- Collaborate with the English department and support students with dyslexia or speech therapy needs.
- Bring learning to life through culture, creativity, and real-world relevance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related subject.
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience.
- Valid teaching certification (PGDE) or currently in progress.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Strong classroom management and digital literacy.
- Experience with modern teaching methods and a passion for shaping young learners.
