About the role
Lightread Consulting is seeking an experienced and proactive Development Manager to lead business operations in Ipaja, Lagos. This full-time position focuses on driving business growth, attracting new clients, and increasing event bookings. The role requires strong leadership and operational management skills to improve service delivery and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations to ensure the facility runs smoothly.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and increase bookings.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise staff to ensure effective performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.
- Monitor sales performance, bookings, revenue, and business growth.
- Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate event-related activities and ensure operational readiness.
- Develop strategies to improve the business’s visibility and market position.
- Prepare regular reports on business performance and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, operations management, hospitality, event management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and generate revenue.
- Excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and develop practical business strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and achieve set targets.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and reporting tools is an advantage.
