About the role
Oilserv Limited is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, installation & commissioning (EPCIC) services in the oil and gas sector. We are looking for a Deputy Project Manager to support the management and delivery of projects related to power plants, gas pipelines, and petrochemical plants. This is a contract position, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Project Manager in their absence, with delegated authority to make decisions and represent the company at project meetings.
- Support the Project Manager in developing project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Supervise and guide project engineers, site teams, contractors, and vendors, resolving interface issues between them.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification (preferred).
- COREN registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. NSE) (preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in managing projects related to power plants, gas pipelines, and petrochemical plants, including experience in an assistant or deputy project management role.
