About the role
Total Data Limited is seeking experienced Delivery Drivers to support a client in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This full-time position is based in Asaba, Delta State. The role involves the safe and timely transportation of products to customers while maintaining company vehicles and adhering to road safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate company delivery vans to transport and deliver products safely.
- Ensure timely delivery to assigned customers and locations.
- Plan delivery routes using strong knowledge of roads in Asaba and the wider Eastern region.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after trips and report any faults.
- Handle and secure products properly during transportation.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer acknowledgements.
- Comply with traffic laws, company policies, and road safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with loading and offloading products when required.
- Report accidents, delays, or vehicle issues to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in delivery, distribution, or FMCG operations.
- Strong knowledge of roads and routes across the Eastern region, particularly Asaba.
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence.
- Proven experience driving both manual and automated vans.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and responsible driving practices.
- Ability to read and follow directions effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
