About the role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking a Data Tracking Officer to join their team in Nigeria. This position focuses on coordinating the tracking and monitoring of trucks and driver activities. The goal is to improve fleet efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, support operational performance, and enable timely incident reporting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track truck and driver activities using established tracking systems.
- Analyze tracking data and generate reports to enhance fleet efficiency and utilization.
- Coordinate the daily activities of Data Tracking Operators.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot vehicle tracking devices.
- Identify, escalate, and follow up on driver violations to ensure appropriate resolution and compliance.
- Monitor tracking service accounts and liaise with network service providers where necessary.
- Manage and maintain tracking facilities and equipment.
- Monitor the validity of truck operating documents and advise on timely renewals, including vehicle licenses and permits.
- Prepare accurate and timely tracking reports for management decision-making.
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing accidents and improving truck turnaround time.
Requirements
- Qualification: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline. Professional certifications in Logistics, Fleet Management, Transportation, or Data Analytics are an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Data Tracking, Fleet Monitoring, Transportation Operations, or a related role. Experience using GPS tracking and fleet management systems is required.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to reporting. You must be able to monitor and interpret tracking data effectively and possess good organizational skills.
