About the role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking a Data Tracking Assistant to join their team in Nigeria. The primary goal of this position is to track and monitor trucks and drivers to enhance operational efficiency. You will use data analytics and performance metrics to support decision-making and improve turnaround times.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor truck movements to maximize fleet efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
- Identify and report idle trucks at loading locations or in transit to improve logistics.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports using reporting tools to provide operational insights.
- Monitor customer complaints via toll-free lines and other channels to assist in prompt resolution.
- Escalate unsafe driving behaviors, such as overspeeding, using tracking devices.
- Track the renewal and issuance of truck documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Install and maintain tracking devices on all trucks.
Requirements
- Diploma or OND in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Tracking, Fleet Monitoring, or Transportation Operations.
- Experience using GPS tracking and fleet management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in reporting.
- Professional certifications in Logistics, Fleet Management, or Data Analytics are an added advantage.
