About the role
First Ally Capital is a wholly indigenous financial services firm providing advisory and investment services. Incorporated in 2014, the firm is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Issuing House and Underwriter. We are looking for an experienced Credit Risk Officer to join our team in Lagos on a full-time, onsite basis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan applications, financial data, and repayment capacity.
- Prepare credit recommendations and identify risk mitigants.
- Monitor portfolio at risk (PAR), overdue loans, and emerging credit risks.
- Identify and escalate early-warning signals and risk alerts.
- Support recovery efforts for delinquent facilities.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and documentation requirements.
- Monitor credit processing turnaround times.
- Prepare credit risk and portfolio performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in credit risk or credit analysis.
- Experience in banking or financial services; microfinance experience is an advantage.
- Strong skills in credit analysis, financial analysis, Excel, and reporting.
