Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team in Lagos. The hotel focuses on providing exceptional hospitality and a blend of relaxation and authentic local charm. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while ensuring kitchen efficiency, food safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Inventory & Restocking: Track kitchen stock, label ingredients with prep dates, and notify management of shortages.
- Quality Control: Ensure proper portioning, taste, plate presentation, and temperature standards.
- Food Preparation: Wash, chop, season, and prepare ingredients according to menu specifications.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean workspace, properly store food items, and enforce HACCP hygiene rules.
- Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment safely to grill, bake, fry, or sauté dishes to order.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
