About the role
BIC Nigeria is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join its manufacturing team in Sagamu, Ogun. As a key member of the team, you will drive process improvement projects that enhance efficiency, add value, and mitigate risks in line with the company’s manufacturing strategy. Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing business processes to identify bottlenecks, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Manage a portfolio of best practices, benchmarking alternatives, and track improvements.
- Drive line efficiency in collaboration with maintenance and production teams.
- Prepare monthly reports aligned with defined scorecards.
- Build the capabilities of the manufacturing team by addressing critical skill gaps.
- Perform project management and analytics to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved.
- Monitor project risks and proactively identify mitigation strategies.
- Provide direction to process improvement project teams to design and implement solutions.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, 4DX, KAIZEN, 7S, and VSM methods to drive efficiencies.
- Train teams on collaborative problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Chemical & Process, or Mechatronics).
- 8-10 years of previous experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing excellence roles.
- Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures.
- Master’s in Business Administration is an added advantage.
