About the role
PeopleVantage Consulting Limited is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark, international-standard tertiary hospital project in Akwa Ibom State. This full-time position is based in Uyo and offers a monthly salary between N400,000 and N600,000. The role is ideal for a senior site management professional looking to contribute to a major healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily site activities across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and finishing works.
- Manage labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain productivity.
- Develop, update, and monitor construction schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and track planned versus actual progress.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and identify unsafe conditions.
- Supervise subcontractors, site engineers, foremen, and construction teams.
- Escalate resource constraints, cost concerns, and major site issues to the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 5 years in a Construction Manager or equivalent senior site management role.
- Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6, including schedule development, updating, progress tracking, and critical-path monitoring.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings, specifications, quality control, and HSE requirements.
- Professional registration with COREN, CORBON, or another relevant professional body is an advantage.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex building projects; hospital, high-rise, or institutional projects is an advantage.
- Candidates currently residing in Uyo or its immediate environs are strongly preferred.
